First Day Of Filming Evaluation

This is our first evaluation of the first day of filming, in this video we discuss what we did on our first day and how our actor kazimir (Theo) adapted to his character. We talk about what went well and what didn't we decided we would produce this as a video because we think it is a more interesting way of getting our point of what happened across and it is a easier way for viewers to know what we got up to.
We hope you enjoy:)

First Day Of Filming

Here is a short video of what we got up to on set today on the first day of filming:

Health and Safety - Day One (Naomi)

Every time that we film in a location we need to make sure that we make a health and safety risk assessment in the area that we are working in, this is so that we keep all our actors, actresses and crew safe.

For our day one of filming we have to film at Theo's (Kazimir) house, which we have permission from his parents, before we start filming we looked at all around the area to see any potential dangers to us and everyone around. We figured out how remove and possible dangers and decided how we would keep ourselves safe from any hazards we could not remove. The first location in Theo's house was his bedroom, one of the first hazards we noticed was that the lighting equipment gets very hot when its being used for a long time and someone might touch the glass on the light and burn themselves a way to overcome this hazard is to tell everyone in advance that the lighting gets hot and if they want to move the lights while we are filming, they must turn them off and wait for them to cool down before touching them.
Another hazard that we pointed out was that the bed was very low and someone might  trip accidently and fall over it which could cause a injury, a way which we could prevent this from happening is by making sure no one goes too near to the bed and by making sure that there isn't any objects under the bed which can cause someone to fall over and hurt themselves.
A alternative hazard that we found was that the bookcase was slightly unstable and wobbley bit, a hazard that might occur is if the bookcase fell over while someone was stood in front of it, we will make sure on the day of filming that the bookcase is very stable so that is doesn't fall down

Finally the last hazard in Theos bedroom is that people might trip over camera and lighting equipment and hurt themselves a way to prevent this is by organising our equipment so that it wont get in the way of our actors and actresses, so that no wires are in the way.

We also had to film in Theos kitchen which we also had to spot any potential dangers and hazards, in the kitchen we had to film Theo (Kazimir) cooking bacon, which is made us realised the first hazard within our filing in this location; as Theo had to cook bacon and could potentially burn himself on the frying pan as he has to use a hot hob in order to cook the bacon, a way to overcome this is by making sure the frying pan isn't too hot and that when Kaimir cooks the bacon he uses a spatula while cooking it so that it doesn't burn him.
Another hazard in the kitchen is that actors might hit themselves on the kitchen counters and hurt themselves, so that this doesn't happen we will remind all the actors, actresses and camera crew not to walk around too quickly or run around the kitchen where the danger of hitting themselves is high.

A alternative hazard which could happen is getting the camera and lighting equipment wet in the kitchen and damaging it, when we film in the kitchen we will make sure that we do not film too close to any water resources where the hazard may occur

Finally the last hazard in the kitchen that might occur is someone cutting themselves on cutlery or knives, to make sure that this doesn't happen, is to make sure all dangerous sharp equipment is put away somewhere safe, where no one can danger themselves.

Here is us getting permission from the house owner, Adam Moore.
